POSSIBLE CAUSE
REMEDY
Add more powder
• Not enough ground
coffee was put into the
pre-ground scoop.
• This can be rectified by using the
measured spoon provided to scoop
your pre-ground coffee in to the
pre-ground shute.
Clean brew
• The brewing unit inside
the machine is dirty.
• Clean the inside of the appliance
thoroughly, as described in
the section titles “cleaning and
maintenance”. The use of a coffee
cleaning tablet may be required.
These can be purchased from any
major electrical retailer.
The coffee
is not hot
• The cups were not
pre-heated.
• The infuser has cooled
down, as it has been a
while since your last coffee.
• Warm cups in a microwave or by
rinsing with hot water first.
• Before making a coffee,
heat the infuser by pressing rinse.
Not enough crema
on my coffee
• The coffee has been
ground too coarse.
• Turn the grinder adjustment knob
(A6) one click, anticlockwise towards
the small symbol while the coffee mill
is in operation.
The coffee was
delivered too slow
or a drop at a time
• The coffee is ground
too finely and obstructs
the system.
• The water hardness
may not have been
correctly set.
• Turn the grinding adjustment knob
(A6) one click, anticlockwise towards
big symbol while the coffee mill is in
operation. See section on adjusting
the coffee mill.
