NOTE:
Ensure all parts are correctly and firmly re-assembled to ensure optimum operation of the milk
frothing/steam system.
All forms of milk have natural fats in them, that over time coat the insides of the milk frothing tube,
nozzle and system.
These traces of oil may have a negative affect on the milk frothing system and frothing nozzle,
and milk pipe causing blockages and failure of milk frothing. For this reason, it is advisable to
give the milk frothing system a thorough clean from time to time.
1. In a mug/milk frothing jug add 250ml of cold water along with 1 cap full of
milk system cleaner.
2. Turn the frothing nozzle to the latte/flat white side of the system (left).
3. When the machine in “ready” state, press B8 button once, then select
“use powder”, “hot milk”, “hot cream”
4. Select
“hot cream” press B8 button then machine display “hot milk/hot cream”.
5. Place the milk pipe deep in milk to begin cleaning.
6. To increase or decrease the pre-set time for frothing manually, press “+” or “-” key this will
increase or reduce your frothing time by 1 second each touch.
7. Once you have run the 250ml of cold water and solution through the system,
REPEAT the entire process with clean cold water to rinse it out.
DESCALING
IMPORTANT!
Descaler contains acids which may irritate the skin and eyes. It is vital to respect the
manufacturer’s safety warnings given on the descaler pack and the warning relating to the
procedure to follow in the event of contact with the skin and eyes.
Use the descale recommended by the manufacturer only.
Failure to descale the appliance as described also invalidates the guarantee.
Over time, constant heating up of the water used to make the coffee leads to limescale building
up in the inner circuits of the appliance. When “decalcify ready “is displayed, the machine
requires descaling. You can continue to use the machine while the descale warning is displayed
on screen however, it is advisable to descale as soon as possible to avoid extra charges and/or in
some cases warranties being voided.
Proceed as follows, when the machine displays “decalcify ready”:
1. Press B8 button, the machine will display “30 min”.
2. Press B8 button, the machine will display “empty tray”.
3. Extract drip tray and grounds tray and empty contents. Return drip tray and grounds tray to
the machine.
