Metadata
Along with each image, the Calibir camera can optionally output metadata associated to
that image. Metadata is appended to the image data:
Image chunk data (pixels)
Image chunk ID (4 bytes) =
0xDB187D61 (little endian)
0x617D18DB (big endian)
Image chunk data size (4 bytes, big endian)
For example, 640x480 = 307200
Metadata
To accommodate the metadata information the image buffer height (allocated by the
host application) must be increased by 2 lines (buffer height = image 2). For
example, if the image size is 640 x 480, the allocated buffer height is 482.
To append metadata to the image buffer the Metadata Active feature must be set to True
(ChunkModeActive = True).
In addition, the Metadata Enable feature, available in the GigE Vision Transport Layer
category, must be set to True (GevSCCFGExtendedChunkData
= True
).
