create stp instance_id
Purpose
Used to create a STP instance ID for MSTP.
Syntax
create stp instance_id <value 1-15>
Description
This command allows the user to create a STP instance ID for the
Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol. There are 16 STP instances on
the Switch (one internal CIST, unchangeable) and the user may
create up to 15 instance IDs for the Switch.
Parameters
<value 1-15> -
Enter a value between 1 and 15 to identify the
Spanning Tree instance on the Switch.
Restrictions Only
administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To create a spanning tree instance 2:
DGS-3324SRi:4#create stp instance_id 2
Command: create stp instance_id 2
Success.
