Test Results 

If there are no problems with the cable the test results will show that the cable is 

OK

, if 

there are no cables connected to the port the results will show 

No Cable

.  

However there are three types of errors that may occur; 

Open

, 

Short

, or 

Crosstalk

. 

Open means that the cable in the error pair does not have a connection at the specified 
position. 
Short means that the cable in the error pair has a short problem at the specified position. 
Crosstalk means that the cable in the error pair has a crosstalk problem at the specified 
position. 

Cable Length (M) 

Determines the length of a cable for a particular port. 

Enter the appropriate information and click 

Test Now 

the results will be displayed in the 

Cable Diagnostics Information

 table.
