Status LEDs

2.6.1 LED Description for SL100 and SL240 33MHz Cards

Four status LEDs are visible form the front panel of the SL240 board. The position of the

LEDs is shown in Figure 2-144 for PMC cards and Figure 2-155 for the PCI cards.

Link Select (LS)

This LED is reserved for future use. The on/off condition of this LED is of no consequence.

Link Up (LU)

The Link Up LED turns on when receiving a valid SL240 signal.

Signal Detect (RX)

The Signal Detect LEDs indicate a signal is being received by the transceiver. This LED

gives no indication of the validity of the signal, only that a signal is present.

Laser Enable (TX)

The Laser Enable LEDs indicate the transceiver is turned on.
