Cycle Plus Pan Feeder
Auger Brazing
The auger must be overlapped and not butt brazed. Use the brazing clamp to hold the auger ends in place.
Heat the auger
slowly
and apply a braze to the inside of the auger. Allow the braze to cool completely,
then rotate the brazing clamp and braze the outside of the auger in the same fashion. When the braze
has cooled, slide the elbows and end tube assembly onto each end of the tubing and tighten the
2" tube clamps.
IMPORTANT:
Clean off any dirt, and oil from both ends of the auger to ensure a good braze. Leave 1/4"
unbrazed on the ends to allow the auger to flex around the elbows. Do not over heat the
auger or the auger may become brittle. The connection should be smooth and well filled.
File all the edges smooth. The outside diameter of the auger at the braze should not be
larger than the rest of the auger.
