6.5.3 Firmware update

FiberScanONE™ internal firmware can be easily upgraded to the latest version,
to add i.e. new functions and improve the instrument flexibility.
To enable firmware update, the ENTER key must be kept pressed down for at
least 5 sec.
Once the BSL connection is enabled, the following image will appear on the
screen.

Once the connection is established, the control unit's firmware can be updated
by connecting it to a PC equipped with the appropriate update software.

For detailed instruction please refer to the software update manual.

WARNING!

This operation must be carried out only by expert personnel!
Always consult our Direct Service at +39 035 715282. Wrong
procedures might damage the control unit ROM

WARNING!

Once the BSL function has been activated, the control unit will no
longer accept any commands and cannot be started up again except
by the software update
