Rotate the drum by hand, while guiding the trailing edge of the plate
straight out the front of the output device, until the leading-edge
clamps can be reached.

Fold over the corners of the free end of the plate.

Grasp the corners of the plate and firmly pull until the plate comes
free of the leading-edge clamps.
