11 - INSTALLATION - Electrical connections
11.1 - Electrical connections: details

WARNING! Disconnect the electric power supply

before carrying out any intervention inside the appliance.

WARNING! During maintenance label all the cables

being examined before disconnecting them.

WARNING! Electrical safety of the appliance

is achieved only when it is correctly connected to an

effective earthing system, created as foreseen by current

safety regulations.

This basic safety requirement must be checked. In the event

of any doubt, ask for a full check of the electrical system to

be done by a professionally qualified technician.



Have a check done by a professionally qualified technician

to ensure that the electrical system is adequate to provide

the electrical power, shown on the data plate, that the

appliance needs.



The use of adapters, multiplugs, extension leads, etc. is

not permitted.



The appliance must be connected to the mains power

supply with a triple-pole dual insulation cable of a suitable

section.



For the connection to the mains power supply a bipolar

switch must be provided in the vicinity of the appliance. This

switch must have a contact opening distance of at least 3

mm, as expected by current regulations on the subject.



Respect the polarity between live and neutral when

connecting the appliance.



Make sure that the water, central heating and gas system

pipes are not used as earths for the electrical or telephone

system. These pipes are not at all suitable for this purpose;

furthermore in a short time serious damage in terms of

corrosion could be noticed in the appliance, pipework and

radiators.

WARNING! The appliance has no protection

against the effects of lightning strikes.

11.1.1 - Connecting power supply cable

To connect the power supply cable proceed as follows (refer

to Figure 11-1):

1.- use a triple-pole dual insulation cable

2.- access the electrical connections terminals following the

relevant instructions in section 16.2;

3.- lay the power supply cable through the cable gland next

to contacts “101”, “102” and “PE”;

6.- remove the sheathing from the cable, taking care to keep

the earth wire (yellow/green) 20 mm longer than the other

two;

7.- connect the yellow-green cable to the earth terminal (“PE”);

8.- connect the brown cable (Live) to terminal “101”

9.- Connect the blue cable (Neutral) to terminal “102”
