whenever the selected source changes. Remote Services must be enabled and properly configured for
this feature to be effective.
The digital input can be configured to control the relay contacts of another ControlByWeb™ device (such
as WebRelay™) at a remote location. The ‘Remote Service Options’ setting is used to specify if and how
the input affects the remote relay. The options in the drop-down list are described below. Note that in all
cases, input changes will only affect the remote relay at the time the input is changed. Once the change
has taken place, the state of the input has no effect on the state of the remote relay. In other words, if the
input causes the remote relay to go on, a user may turn that remote relay off from the web browser, even
if the local input is still on.
REMOTE RELAY
The XW-210 can be configured to control a relay on other ControlByWeb devices across the network.
These relays are called remote relays.
Control Source:
Select the resource to control the remote relay. The following options are available:
None:
No commands are sent to a remote relay
Digital Input:
The state of the remote relay will be controlled by the digital input.
Relay:
The state of the remote relay will be controlled by the local relay.
1-Wire Sensor:
The state of the remote relay will be controlled by 1-Wire Sensor alarms.
Action:
These drop down menus specify what action to take when a criteria is met. The actions change
depending on what control source has been selected. The following section lists the options available
based for each control source selected.
If
Digital Input
is selected the following Action options are available:
Remote command equals input:
When the input is on, a command is sent to the remote device to
set the relay state to
on
. When the input is off, a command is sent to the remote device to set the
relay state to
off

Remote command opposite of input:
When the input is on, a command is sent to the remote
device to set the relay state to
off
. When the input is off, a command is sent to the remote device to
set the relay state to

Send on command when input [on, off, changes] (no off command):
When the input is [on, off,
changes] a command is sent to the remote device to set the relay state to on. No off commands are
sent to the remote device.
Send off command when input [on, off, changes] (no on command):
When the input is [on, off,
changes] a command is sent to the remote device to set the relay state to
off
. No on commands are
sent to the remote device.
Send toggle command when input [on, off, changes]:
When the input is [on, off, changes] a
command is sent to the remote device to toggle the relay (change the remote relay to the state
opposite of its current state).
Send pulse command when input [on, off, changes]:
