EMAIL SETTINGS
An email can be sent when a temperature alarm or digital event occur. A BASIC script can also initiate an
email message. This section is used to configure the email settings for up to eight email addresses. The
same message is sent to each email address. For email notification to work, the XW-210 must have a
properly configured network connection and a SMTP server must be defined. Emails only work if the
XW-210 is connected to an access point and can send messages on the internet.
Email triggers can be generated within a BASIC script (See Section 6.7: BASIC Scripts ), or can be
explicitly defined for each Sensor, Input, and Relay. The email options and recipients for each Sensor,
Input, and Relay are configured separately. For each Sensor, Input, and Relay select the Email Option
and the check box for the desired email recipient.
SMTP Server:
The SMTP mail server host name.
SMTP Server Port:
The port number of the SMTP mail server. This is generally 25 for non encrypted SMTP servers. If using
SSL/TLS, this port number is generally 465.
SSL:
Check this check box if the server and port you have configured is expecting a SSL connection.
User Name:
Email user name (if required).
Password:
If the SMTP mail server requires authentication, the password must be entered here. There is no default
setting for this field.
Return Email:
XW-210 will not receive email messages, but when XW-210 sends email messages, it must include a
return email address. This field is used to specify the return email address. Note that although XW-210
will send email messages with any email address specified in this field, some email filters (spam filters)
will not allow messages through that include an invalid email address. There is no default setting for this
field.
Email 1:
When an alert occurs an email message is sent to this address.
Email 2:
When an alert occurs an email message is sent to this address.
Email 3:
When an alert occurs an email message is sent to this address.
Email 4:
When an alert occurs an email message is sent to this address.
Email 5:
When an alert occurs an email message is sent to this address.
Email 6:
When an alert occurs an email message is sent to this address.
