Fault list
Listed below are all fault codes, their causes and how an operator with some knowledge
of the system can solve the problem.
Fault code Cause Remedy
Two loop units have the
same address Check the units
Hardware fault Exchange the unit
A fuse is blown (a
secondary fault appears) Exchange the fuse
128
NO ANSWER
Lost communication. The
system has recognized a
unit but lost contact with it
due to some interference.
Cable break in a
detector or system loop
(a secondary fault
appears) Mend the cable
The detector has a faulty
sensor element. Exchange unit
129 SENSOR FAULT
The smoke detector is
exposed to wind Take care of wind problem
Optical detector:
Try to clean the detector with a vacuum cleaner
or by blowing high-pressure air on it. If this does
not help, exchange the detector.

DIRTY SENSOR
The detector has a dirty
sensor element
Ion smoke detector: Exchange the detector
Fewer loop units found
than configured Check the specification and re-define the system
Loop units not correctly
installed Connect the unit correctly
131 TOO FEW FOUND
Missing answer from a
unit Check address (possible double address).
Otherwise exchange the unit.

More loop units found
than configured Check the specification and re-define the system

IN1 CABLE BREAK
There is a cable break
on input 1 Mend the cable break

IN2 CABLE BREAK
There is a cable break
on input 2 Mend the cable break

EXT 24V FAIL
External 24V power
source missing. The local power supply is defect.

FEEDBACK FAULT
External load is missing. Check the cable and the external load.

POSITION FAULT
A supervised unit (for
example a door or
damper) is in the wrong
position. Check for obstructions.

LOOP CABLE SHORT
CIRCUIT
A short circuit in the
detector loop cable. Locate the short circuit and fix it.

LOOP CABLE A SHORT
CIRCUIT
Short circuit on the A-
side of a detector loop. Locate the short circuit and fix it.

LOOP CABLE B SHORT
CIRCUIT
Short circuit on the B-
side of a detector loop Locate the short circuit and fix it.

CABLE BREAK
POSITIVE
A cable break on the
positive conductor has
been detected. Locate the cable break and mend it.
