Tank Filling & Overflow Protection

23.

The control system will only open the inlet valve for a maximum of 40 seconds.  If the tank
is not full at the end of this time the machine will enter a fault condition. The internal display
will  read  “TANK  FILL  FAULT  CALL  OPERATOR”  for  the  Instant  system  or  “GROUP
WATER  SYSTEM  FAUT”  for  the  Espresso.  This  fault  can  be  cleared  by  switching  the
machine off and on and attempting a refill.

Note: An empty tank may take several cycles to fill completely depending on water pressure.

The second protective mechanism is designed to act as a fail-safe in the event that a slow
leak occurs which does not result in the liquid entering the drip tray. The machine will
cease all attempts to fill the tank after 20 tank top ups have been made, if no selections
have been taken in the meantime.
