Step 3:

Route and terminate the single OLT-side fiber (red SC connector) from the PON splitter (identified as IN) to the

SC adapter plate.

Step 4:

IMPORTANT!

When routing optic fibers, be careful to avoid bending fibers beyond the manufacturer

recommended 1 inch (2.54 cm) bend radius. Exceeding the bend radius can cause excess attenuation and

possibly break the fiber.

Route and terminate the (16 or 32) PON-side fibers from the splitter to the fiber staging area as follows:

Dress the fibers from the splitter to the right and through the dressing spools as desired, allowing adequate

slack.

Route the fibers from the dressing spools to the left across the front of the bulkhead panel to the staging

area.
