To power on a specified line card or disable the node power-on feature, use the
hw-module power
command in administration configuration mode. To power off a line card, use the
no
form of this
command.

To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes the proper
task IDs.
The
hw-module power
command is available for line cards only; it is not available for router processor
(RP) cards.
Use the
command to view a summary of the nodes in the router, including status
information.

The following example shows how to power on a line card:

The following example shows how to disable the power-on feature for a line card:

notation.
