To render a media device safe to be removed, use the
unmount
command in EXEC or administration
EXEC mode.

To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes the proper
task IDs.
Use the
unmount
command before removing the media device. The command unmounts all partitions
and ensures that no further access is made to the device. Use the
undo
option to remount the device if it
is not removed and reinserted.
