If this pin comes loose when
removing the pump cover, the
complete inside of the pump needs
to be re‐assembled. Care needs to
be exercised to ensure it remains
properly seated in the pump housing.
If the pressure spring is removed, a suitable means of re‐installing the spring is to use a quality Wood Working
Clamp assembly to compress the spring for re‐assembly.
1. Square the clamp jaws with the spring protruding ~ 1/3 of its diameter outside the jaws.
2. Tighten the spring until it fits inside the space between the pump housing and the variable rotor housing.
3. Holding the spring in place with the flats of the jaws square to the housing, loosen the jaws until the spring
touches both housings with a light amount of pressure.
4. Holding the Wood Working Clamp firmly in position, use a suitable mallet handle to firmly position the spring
in the pump housing assembly.
