If the chain slider becomes worn though to the swingarm, the chain will wear
against the swingarm.
•
check the chain guide and chain guide slider for alignment, wear or dam-
aged.
•
Replace the chain guide if it is damaged or worn.
•
Replace the chain guide slider if the chain is visible through the wear in-
spection window.

Inspect the drive and driven sprocket teeth for wear or damage and re-
place if necessary.
Do not install the new drive chain on worn sprocket. The chain and sprockets
must be in good condition, or the new chain will wear rapidly.
•
Inspect the bolts and nuts on the drive and driven sprockets.
•
Tighten them when they become loosened.
