15.1 SAFETY THERMOSTAT - boiler malfunction
On the boiler controller screen following error is announced (E 20 SAFETY THERMOSTAT OR DOOR MICROSWITCH),
the boiler behaves itself according to the description of the error E20. If the cause of the E20 error is not the open boiler
lower door, bad positioned microswitch along the lower boiler door (the microswitch is not sufficiently pressed when the
door is closed), faulty microswitch along the lower boiler door – the cause of this error is a reached to high water
temperature in the boiler (above 101°C) as the safety thermostat interrupts the burner fan operation and pellet feeder if
the boiler temperature exceeds the maximum permitted temperature (110 – 9 °C).
For a reactivation of the safety thermostat (STB) following needs to be done:
-
Wait until the boiler temperature falls below 70°C
.
- Unscrew and take off the safety thermostat lid (detail A).
- Press the thermostat restart button (detail B).
- After pressing the thermostat restart button the fan error will be removed/eliminated, the boiler is ready for operation.
- In case the same problem occurs again during the first next boiler firing or if it occurs frequently, ask an advise from the
authorized servicemen.
