3.9 What to do in case of a fire

In this section, you will find recommendations and instructions about the correct behaviour

in case of a fire.

Approved and tested fire extinguishers are located in the immediate vicinity of danger spots.

Correct procedure for fires:

•

First rescue injured persons from the danger zone and provide first aid!

•

Extinguish the fire using the fire extinguishers in your area!

•

If the fire cannot be extinguished with a single extinguisher, ensure that other

extinguishers are brought to the scene of the fire. Avoid a longer interruption of the

extinguishing attempts!

•

If necessary, make an emergency phone call (see Page 35: Instructions for first aid)!

•

Inform the responsible supervisor or his/her deputy.
