Safety equipment

Safety

3.4.2  Fixed safety equipment

Fixed safety equipment secure dangerous areas on the machine. They have no effect on the 

movements of the machine.

The fixed safety equipment includes:

•  The protective cover of the V-belts
•  The blade guard
•  The protective cover of the cutting shaft

The fixed safety equipment prevents or impedes direct access to:

•  Rotating or moving parts of the machine
•  Live parts of the machine.

The fixed safety equipment may only be removed for maintenance and repair work and must 

be refitted prior to restarting.
