CAUTION: should be exercised when inflating the cuff. Over-inflation could
cause the seal to burst causing injury to the operator, and or the fill sleeve of
the bulk bag.
NOTICE: Eye and ear protection may be required when operating this
equipment.
C. Maintenance of the Bag Seal Cuff and Gauge:
Periodic inspection of the bag seal cuff for dry rot cracks or tears is necessary.
Replacement of the cuff is recommended if any wear, tears or thinning is noticed.
The pressure gauge for the bag seal cuff should be kept in good working order. If the
gauge does not read pressure, remove and replace it as soon as possible to prevent cuff
damage (0-15 PSI gauge recommended).
Pre-Bag Inflate (OPTIONAL)
The Pre- Bag Inflate System consists of the following components:
1) Low pressure high volume Blower (LPB)
2) 3 way valve Exhaust system
The system is designed to inflate the bulk bag to its full volume prior to being filled. This is
accomplished with the use of the LPB. At the start of the filling cycle, the 3 way valve to the
blower opens allowing the bag to be inflated for the length of time on the timer set for in the
PLC. When the timer has expired, the 3-way valve port closes position and the blower fan
stops. The exhaust port opens allowing the air from the bulk bag to vent out to the dust
collection system during the filling cycle. .
A. Timer Setup and Adjustment:
The timer for the bag inflator is found on the PLC timer module inside the motor control
panel. This timer is adjustable from 0 to 30 and will need to be field adjusted to the length
of time required depending on the bulk bag size.
B. Maintenance: Blower and Exhaust Valves, Inlet Filter.

Every 6 months, check the plungers on the 3-way valve system

Once a month, clean air filter on the LPB.
