Enter the

Measure Patient Outlet Pressure at Actual Turbine Speed (T/S)

A) With the ventilator operating in Servo Mode, set step position (listed under

Tidal Volume) to

500

, and O

% to

21%

(Oxygen setting for LTV

1200 only).

B) Set the turbine speed to the actual turbine speed that was calculated during

the

Measure Actual Turbine Speed (T/S)

section in Chapter 6.

C) Set up the ventilator as follows:



Connect the Turbine Pressure Test adapter to the Patient Outlet port

of the ventilator.



Connect the Turbine Pressure Test adapter to a test hose connected

to a manometer.



If necessary, pinch off other unused tubes branching from the test

hose.

D) Wait a minimum of one minute for the

manometer to reach a stable value before
taking a reading.



E) Record the pressure value on the Performance Checkout Worksheet. Remove

the Turbine Pressure Test adapter from the ventilator.

F) If the outlet pressure value is less than this value, troubleshoot (see

Chapter 7
