Adjust the slide guides to the width of the documents.

The document s ready for scannng.

Do not add or remove documents whle they are beng scanned.
When scannng s complete, remove the documents from the document delvery tray to avod paper 
jams.
Avod usng ADF to scan the same document more than 30 tmes. When scanned repeatedly, 
documents can become folded or torn, whch may cause paper jams.
If the feeder rollers are soled from scannng a document wrtten n pencl, clean them. (See “Cleanng 
the Machne,” on p. 10-2.)
