IMPORTANT
You cannot insert a pause at the beginning of a number.
NOTE
•
You can enter a maximum of 120 characters for the fax number.
•
If you enter a pause at the end of the number, the pause is always 10 seconds
long.
•
If you make a mistake when entering the number, press and hold
(Clear) to
delete the entire number

[Pause]:
Press to insert a pause of several seconds in the fax/telephone
number that you are dialing. If you insert a pause within the fax/
telephone number, the letter <p> is displayed between the
numbers. If you insert a pause at the end of a fax/telephone
number, the letter <P> appears. When dialing an overseas number,
insert a pause after the country code, and at the end of the fax/
telephone number. (See “Pause Time,” on p. 6-14.)
[
]:
Press to delete the last number entered.
[Direct TX]:
Press to send documents directly to the recipient. If you do not
select Direct Sending, Memory Sending is used. (See “Direct
Sending,” on p. 3-4.)
[Delayed TX]: Press when you want to set the machine to send documents at a
specified time.
[Hook]:
Press to activate or deactivate the telephone line.
(Tone):
Press when you want to directly call to an extension line that is
connected to a PBX (Private Branch eXchange), which accepts
only tone signals. If you press
(Tone), the letter <T> appears.
