DOCUMENT TOO LONG
Cause
The original is longer than 630 mm, or it is not feeding correctly.
Remedy
Make sure that the original is an acceptable size and type before you send it.
(See “Placing Originals,” on p. 1-34.)
MEM IN USE nn %
Cause
Shows the percentage of the memory currently in use. This message appears
on the LCD display when you place the document into the feeder.
Remedy
If there is not enough available memory to perform your job, try one of the
remedies listed below under MEMORY FULL.
MEMORY FULL
Cause 1
The memory is full.
Remedy 1 If the memory becomes full while scanning documents using the feeder, the
document being scanned stops in the feeder. If this happens, clear the paper
jams from the feeder.
Remedy 2 Wait a few moments, and try scanning again after the current jobs complete.
Remedy 3 Erase or print documents stored in memory.
Remedy 4 Try dividing your document into parts before sending it.
Remedy 5 Select a lower image quality for sending your document.
Cause 2
The number of fax jobs that can be stored in memory has reached the
maximum.
Remedy
The machine can store up to a maximum of 70 send jobs, 90 receive jobs, or 95
jobs, including send and receive jobs. Wait for the machine to send any faxes in
memory, or print or delete any documents in memory.
