Fax Information Services
Many fax information services for banks, airline reservations, hotels, etc., require
tone dialing for their services. If your machine is connected to a rotary pulse
telephone line, follow the procedure below to temporarily set the machine for tone
dialing.
1
Press [FAX].
The FAX indicator lights and the machine enters the Fax Standby mode.

Press [Hook].

Enter the number of the fax information service using the
numeric keys, a one-touch speed dialing key, or coded speed
dialing code.
If you are using the machine with rotary pulse dialing, press
(Tone) when you
hear the recorded message of the information service.
IMPORTANT
For the machine with the optional Card Reader E1, do not remove the Control Card
while the line is connected, as doing so will disconnect the line before you complete
the transaction.
