FAX SETTINGS

Descriptions
1. USER SETTINGS
The basic operation settings in the fax mode can
be specified.
1. UNIT TELEPHONE #
Your fax/telephone number can be registered
within 20 digits, including spaces. (See
“Registering Your Machine’s Fax/Telephone
Number,” on p. 1-23.)
2. UNIT NAME
You can register your name or your company
name within 24 characters, including spaces. (See
“Registering the Unit’s Name,” on p. 1-25.)
3. TX TERMINAL ID
Sets the options for the sender Information.
1. PRINTING POSITION
Selects whether the sender Information is
positioned inside or outside the image area.
OUTSIDE IMAGE*: Terminal ID is printed outside
the image border.
INSIDE IMAGE: Terminal ID is printed inside the
image border.
2. TELEPHONE # MARK
You can prefix your number with the abbreviations
FAX* or TEL in your sender information.
4. SCANNING DENSITY
Select the scan density from the 9 scales.
5. TEL LINE TYPE
Selects the telephone line type. (See “Selecting
the Type of Telephone Line,” on p. 1-17.)
TOUCH TONE*
The telephone line is set for touch tone dialing.
ROTARY PULSE
The telephone line is set for rotary pulse dialing.
6. VOLUME CONTROL
Sets the volume for the alarm and monitor tones
that the machine sounds during a fax transmission.

Sets the volume to any level on a scale of 0 to
3 (1)*.
