When using a machine with V.34 modem mounted to make a reception in the V.17 procedure you can select a level of the TCF judgement criterion.
When you select "Loose", the machine rarely falls back during a V.17 reception.
However, because the transmission speed is high, the following problems may occur after the image reception starts: an error line, or longer communication time
due to a retransmission of the error frame.
This feature applies only to machines using V.34 modem.

When the Bit 1 is set to 'Yes,' the following operation is performed to binary images.
When images in millimeter stored in the memory are transmitted to an inch-type fax machine, conversion from millimeter to inch is done.
The scanning direction in which conversion is done is determined by the setting of SW14 Bit2 in #1 SSSW.

When theSW05-Bit1 in #1SSSW is set to 'Yes,' and this switch is also set to 'Yes,' the following operation is done to halftone images.
