Changing the Receiving Mode
(RX Mode)
The machine automatically receives and print documents. With the Memory Lock or Transfer
function, you can also set the machine to receive a document temporarily into memory or
transfer it to another machine.
The set RX mode appears on the touch panel display, and remains active until a different
mode is set.

Memory Lock Mode (Memory Lock):
This mode stores received documents into memory without printing. When the machine is
in the Memory Lock mode, documents are stored in memory, and printed when the
machine is taken out of the Memory Lock mode.
NOTE
•
To set the machine to the Memory Lock mode, set the Memory Lock to “On” from (Additional
Functions) → “System Settings” → “Communication Settings” → “Memory Lock Setting.” (See
‘Saving Received Documents to Memory,’ on p. 6-13.)

Set a password to limit setting/cancellation of the Memory Lock mode, using the Communication
Settings from the Additional Functions screen. You can also set the machine so that it switches over
to the Memory Lock mode at certain times each day and on certain days. (See ‘Saving Received
Documents to Memory,’ on p. 6-13.)

Transfer Mode (Transfer):
This mode transfers received documents to the registered destinations.
NOTE
•
To set the machine to the Transfer mode, set Transfer Setting to “On” from (Additional Functions)
→ “System Settings” → “Communication Settings” → “Transfer Setting.” (See ‘Automatic Transfer of
Received Documents,’ on p. 6-5.)

Set a password to limit setting/cancellation of the transfer destinations, using the Communication
Settings from the Additional Functions screen. You can also set the machine so that it automatically
switches over to the Transfer mode at certain times each day and on certain days. (See ‘Automatic
Transfer of Received Documents,’ on p. 6-5.)
•
Documents received into a memory box are not transferred.

Make sure the machine is ready to send press “Special Features”
press “RX Mode.”
