For the PakBus® Address, use the camera address. Default is 55.
Under Files Manager File Name, use the following format.
(DDD:NAME.EXT)

DDD – destination drive on the data logger. Use USR for the user drive (see FIGURE 20-1 (p.
120). Use CRD for the memory card.

NAME – a name string used to name the files. In FIGURE 20-1 (p. 120), this value is SkySouth .
The file name automatically produces an incrementing number. In this example, the first file
will be named
SkySouth1.jpg . Type zero for this parameter to disable the automatic
numbering and produce a fixed file name of 0. In this example, the Files Manager File
Name would be USR:0.JPG.

EXT – the file extension the incoming file must match. In the case of the camera, this must
always be either jpg or avi. In
FIGURE 20-1 (p. 120), this value is JPG .
Count specifies the maximum number of files stored with this file name. If the data logger
processes more files than specified, the data logger will delete the oldest file.
20.3 Data logger COM port (control port)
communications
A pair of data logger control terminals can be configured as an RS-232 communication (COM)
port. Any of these COM ports can be configured as PakBus® ports and used to communicate
with the camera.
The COM ports can be activated as ports using the Device Configuration Utility or by using the
SerialOpen
instruction in the data logger program.
The following
SerialOpen
instruction configures COM Port 2:

Adjust the RS-485 settings if files transfer over RS-485 extremely slowly or if a file is larger
