variables for GPS, enter as decimal coordinates.
17.3.1 PakBus® control of window defroster function
Users are advised to only use one type of control to avoid unexpected operation of the defroster.
The two options are:
1. Automatic Mode set using the web interface or Device Configuration Utility .
2. One-shot mode using the PakBus®
SendVariables
command.
Turn on the defroster by sending a non-zero numeric value such as 1 to the camera. When the
camera receives the non-zero value, the heater turns on and a 65 second countdown timer starts.
After 65 seconds, the defroster automatically turn off (unless the defroster is turned on using the
Automatic Mode). If another non-zero is sent before the defroster is turned off, the timer resets
and begins the countdown again from 65. Sending a zero value using this variable will not turn
off the defroster regardless of which method was used to turn it on.
The defroster commands should be sent to the camera every 60 seconds or less to ensure
continuous operation.
The defroster will not be allowed to turn on at internal temperatures above 25 °C.
17.3.2 PakBus® control of CCFC power
A PakBus® command can safely shut the CCFC down. Write 1 (or any nonzero value) to the
public Boolean variable
CCFCShutdown
and the camera will safely power down. The shutdown
process can take up to 30 seconds. The camera will turn back on after 10 minutes or can be
externally triggered.
The following example shuts down a camera with PakBus® address 55:
SendVariables (SendVarResult,Com1,0,55,0000,400, “Public”, “CCFCShutdown”,1,1)
