4. Press the ‘M’ button on the Function Checker.
Repeat until ‘Ind’ is shown on the Function Checker display.
5. Switch ON the Signal Generator. Check the Battery Condition Indicator
in the bottom left hand corner of the Signal Generator display.
CORRECT RESULT : The Signal Generator should emit a clear
audio tone. The Battery Indicator should show at least two filled
segments on the Signal Generator display.
Replace batteries if necessary.
NOTE If the CORRECT RESULT is not achieved, then the Transmitter batteries must be replaced.
6. The Signal Generator should automatically set itself to highest power, ‘Continuous’ Output
and ‘Loud’ audio settings. The Signal Generator display should show all four segments of the
‘Output Power Level Indicator’ and the bar graph at full scale. The ‘Induced mode’ icon should
show in the top right hand corner and the ‘33kHz’ icon in the top left hand corner of the Signal
Generator display.
CORRECT RESULT : The Function Checker bar graph should show an indication of 2/3 full scale
and the ‘33kHz’ icon should show in the top left hand corner on the Function Checker display.
NOTE Moving the Signal Generator in any direction away from its correct position ‘head to head’
with the Function Checker will cause a reduction in the Function Checker bar graph response.
