Step 1: Procedure to Install and Reinstall OS
The following explains OS install and reinstall:
IMPORTANT:
„ “Express Setup” deletes all data on the disk used for installation/reinstallation, as
“Express Setup” formats the entire disk. If there is any data partition other than the
system partition containing OS for reinstallation, you must back up the important
data in the data partition first and then start “Express Setup.”

Do not apply service packs to Fault Tolerant Server series based on your judgment.
If you want to apply service packs, contact your sales agent for the latest application
and apply service packs to Fault Tolerant Server series.
Following items are required for install/reinstall:

This CD-ROM is used to update ft Server Control Software; it may not be shipped with the
