Plain Bearing Pulleys
17. Reduce the tension of the elastic cord on the Plain Bearing
Pulley by grasping two near segments of the cord and pulling toward
the item to remove. Continue to hold the cord.
Note:
Procedure is the same for each of the Plain Bearing Pulleys.
The image shows two distant cord segments grasped together.
18. With the tension still reduced, try to push the Plain Bearing Pul-
ley up and out of the channel. A light tap from a rubber mallet may
be needed to release the Plain Bearing Pulley.
Note:
The Pulley Axle Pin is loose in the Plain Bearing Pulley, so be
careful not to lose it.
19. Route the new Elastic Cord over the Plain Bearing Pulley and
insert back into the channel.
Note:
Inspect the Plain Bearing Pulley and Axle Pin to be sure they
are centered in the channel. Lightly tap it back into place with the
rubber mallet, if required.
