S25 is used for two purposes. When the modem is operating in
Synchronous Modes 1 or 4, the value assigned to S25 is equal to the
length of time that the modem waits after a connection has been
established before examining the DTR Signal from the DTE. This allows
the modem to ignore on-to-off transition of DTR and gives the user
sufficient time to disconnect an asynchronous terminal and connect a
synchronous terminal, without causing the modem to return back to
Asynchronous Command Mode. In this mode of operation, the value
specified in S25 is defined in seconds.
