The files will have this structure. Copy them all (Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C) and paste to the SD card (Ctrl+V)

Insert the USB-Stick in the slot on the back of the HMI. Make sure that the HMI is powered on and
initialized before inserting the USB-stick.

A popup appears on the screen. If this does not happen, the USB-stick may not be accepted. Try with
a different USB-stick.

Press yes to download the new program

After end of download remove the USB-stick and confirm to restart.
9.
When prompted to restart again, power cycle the screen by removing the HMI power supply (green
connector on the back of the screen).

If PLC is updated at the same time the connection may be lost and a restart of the screen may be
necessary.
11.
Communication between PLC and HMI will resume.

If the communication to the PLC does not resume it may be necessary to configure the IP-address
and/or the PLC node name, which the HMI looks for. See section 8.2.3 how to.

If communication problem between PLC and HMI persist, then see section 0.
After program update, the HMI will be configured with a fixed default IP address: ETH 1: 192.168.1.101 –
255.255.255.0 – 192.168.1.1 – ETH_2: 1.1.1.2 – 255.255.255.0 – 1.1.1.1.
Procedure to change the PLC node name that the HMI looks for
1.
Tap bottom left and top right corner of the HMI with fingers continuously until the configuration menu
appears.

Select “offline tab”, select “IO Manager” and press. “OK” to work offline.

Select “Equipment Config”:

From drop-down list under “Select Equipment”, select “SOM_MyController”
5.
Write the exact PLC node name as is configured for the PLC, e.g. “MAIN_CONTROLLER1”.
6.
Press “OK” and press “RETURN” and press “To Run Mode”.
