About Swapping KMX-3921 Cards into a Multiviewer
• The door can be removed completely by slipping the ends of the guides off the posts
on the door assembly. Note that you must tilt the door on an angle so the guide can
move freely.
Close the front door as follows:
• Close the door by sliding it into position against the front of the frame, and turning the
captive thumbscrews clockwise until the door is securely fastened into place
About Swapping KMX-3921 Cards into a Multiviewer
The following instructions apply to a multiviewer that has two or more KMX-3921 cards. See
Supported Frames and Multiviewer Scaling , on page 13.
Overview
When each multiviewer card has the same license options enabled,
the multiviewer features
will be consistently available across all multiviewer inputs. For a list of multiviewer model
features, see
Features and Limitations , on page 12.
Licensed options are purchased for individual multiviewer cards and thus the licensed
feature for that card will follow the card wherever it is located in whichever multiviewer. See
Available Hardware and Software Options , on page 120. Enabling licensed features on
some multiviewer cards but not on others may result in a mosaic output that show signals
with mixed abilities (some signals may have subtitling or support HDR and others will not
for example).
Swapping a KMX-3921 Card into a Multiviewer
When performing maintenance on a multiviewer, it may be necessary to replace a
KMX-3921 card with another KMX-3921 card. Once a KMX-3921 card has been successfully
swapped into the multiviewer, the multiviewer will live-update the multiviewer cards as
necessary so that all multiviewer KMX-3921 cards will have the same Kaleido Software
version level. See

Multiviewer Live-Update (Auto-Upgrade) Feature
For a multiviewer that has two or more KMX-3921 multiviewer cards, all multiviewer cards
will be automatically upgraded or downgraded to the Kaleido Software version currently
loaded on multiviewer card 'A', as a function of the live-update (auto-upgrade) feature. See
Installation of the KMX-3921 in a Densité 3+ Frame , on page 30 for the location of card 'A' in
each multiviewer model.
Finding a KMX-3921 Card’s Current Kaleido Software Version
To know the KMX-3921 card’s Kaleido Software current version, insert the card into the
Densité 3+ FR1 / Densité 3+ FR4 frame and then find the card’s Kaleido Software version
through the frame’s local control panel (see
Using the Frame Control Panel , on page 53) or
