• reference input 2 must be disabled.
• the reference source must be a blackburst or tri-level sync signal.
• In the Densité REF-1801 HD/SD Frame Reference Module configuration, the URS
generation mode must be set to Normal (either from the card’s REFERENCE menu
or, in iControl, from the Mode tab on the control panel for this card).
• In the case of a Densité 3+ FR4 frame equipped with a Densité CPU-ETH3 Advanced
Ethernet Controller Card, use Precision Time Protocol (PTP). See PTP in the
Densité 3+ FR4 documentation: Densité 3+ FR4 Housing Frame User Manual . See Related

Using a REF-1801 Card’s LTC Time Code Input
Multiple distinct LTC signals can be used in the multiviewer. In XEdit, the LTC inputs are
found under the
Channels/Sources tab in the System hierarchical list.
The LTC input available under System is the LTC input signal connected to the LTC IN input
found on the REF-1801’s rear panel, when equipped. The LTC input available under an input
card is the LTC input signal connected to that card’s
LTC IN input.
In the case where the frames are equipped with the REF-1801 card option, connect the LTC
signal to the
LTC IN input found on the REF-1801’s rear panel. For this specific LTC Time
Code Input to work with the multiviewer, certain requirements must be met.
• In the case of a non-standard time code (for example, a count down time code, or a
time code that includes user bits with date information), the time code processing
mode must be set to Pass through (either from the card’s REFERENCE menu or, in
iControl, from the Input tab on the control panel for this card). The pass through
mode is available as of version 1.10 of the REF-1801 firmware.
• Using an LTC count down time code as the reference for a count up timer is not
supported.
• The reference source must be set to External (either from the card’s REFERENCE
menu or, in iControl, from the Input tab on the control panel for this card).
