Introduction
Introduction
The KMX-3921 multiviewer can be installed in either a Densité 3+ FR1 frame or a
Densité 3+ FR4 frame. The KMX-3921 cards are installed in the frame with a corresponding
back panel that is installed at the rear of the frame. Each KMX-3921 card can display up to
nine SD, HD, or 3G-SDI video sources in up to nine video windows across one or two high-
resolution mosaic outputs. Combine up to six KMX-3921 cards, to configure a single-, dual-
or quad-mosaic output system in a range of sizes (see
Supported Frames and Multiviewer
Scaling , on page 13). According to the number of KMX-3921 cards chosen for an
installation, a correspondingly sized rear panel is used to interconnect the cards.
The connectors for KMX-3921 multiviewer’s SDI inputs and mosaic SFP outputs are located
on the multiviewer’s rear panel. The mosaic outputs require one or two SFP output modules
for connection to a display.
The multiviewer can be genlocked to the frame’s reference. For the Densité 3+ FR1 frame,
the optional REF-1801-FR1 card must previously have been installed in the frame.
The KMX-3921 is ideal for production monitoring in trucks. It integrates tightly with other
Densité signal processing cards, routers and production switchers.
