Network Information Worksheet
We recommend that you complete the worksheet ( Table C-1 ) on the following
pages. Doing so provides you with a reference when configuring an interface for
network management, as described in Chapter 3, “Initializing and Setting Up the
Routers.”
Note the following guidelines for completing the worksheet:
• Use only the portions of the worksheet that apply to your network
requirements. For example, if you are not enabling OSPF on the IP interface,
ignore any prompts that pertain to OSPF.
• Many prompts suggest default values. Accept the default values unless you
have a reason to make a change.
• Some prompts depend on your network requirements. For example, local PAP
passwords are optional with PPP. Also, if you do not run optional features
such as FTP or Telnet, your router will be more secure and use less memory
and processing overhead.
Note: Contact your network administrator for assistance in selecting
worksheet options.
