Appendix D

Sample Installation Scripts

This appendix contains sample installation (install.bat) scripts for the Model 5380 
Ethernet Router and Model 5580 Token Ring Router. These scripts are displayed 
when you enter 

run install

 at the Technician Interface prompt as described in 

Chapter 3, “Initializing and Setting Up the Routers.” Enter the information you 
completed in Appendix C, “Network Information Worksheet,” as prompted.

The following abbreviations are used in the script to specify the net modules:

•

IQE: Internal quad Ethernet (the four onboard router interfaces)

•

IQTOK: Internal quad token ring (the four onboard router interfaces)

•

DENM: Dual-port Ethernet net module

•

DTNM: Dual-port token ring net module

•

DSNM: Dual-port synchronous net module

•

SFNM: Single-mode fiber FDDI net module

•

SE100NM: 100BASE-T net module

•

QBRI: Quad-port ISDN BRI net module
