All Linear Settings
The All Linear settings described below apply to the following barcode types:
• Code 128
• Code 39
• Code 93
• CODABAR
• Interleaved 2 of 5
• EAN13
• EAN13-Addon
• EAN8
• UPCE
• UPCE-Addon
• Postnet
• IMB
Checksum Verify
When checksum is enabled, the sensor uses a checksum to verify the integrity of the barcode being read.
Note: Most linear barcode types always contain checksum verification. This setting only applies to Code
39 and Interleaved 2 of 5 because the checksum verification is optional in these types.
Relaxed Quietzone
The Quietzone is a blank margin on either side of a barcode that indicates where the barcode begins and ends. If this
Quietzone isn't big enough, the sensor can have trouble decoding the barcode. By enabling Relaxed Quietzone there is a
greater tolerance with respect to the quiet zone required before and after the barcode.
Changing the Relaxed Quietzone setting also affects the Postnet, IMB, and Pharmacode barcode types.
Pharmacode Settings
Scan Direction
For Pharmacode, select one of the following for Line Scanning:
• Left to Right
• Right to Left
• Top to Bottom
• Bottom to Top
• Omnidirectional
Use Omnidirectional scanning if barcodes can appear inverted on part being inspected. If Compare is enabled, the sensor
attempts to compare that string to decode data in both scan directions. The inspection is marked as Pass if at least one
string matches. The data that successfully matched displays on the screen and exports through communication channels
as requested.
If Omnidirectional scan is selected, but Compare is disabled, the data decoded from left-to-right scan is reported.
