Technical Guide 333

The voltage and frequency of these outlets is the same as from the power supply cord.
The thermal fuses limit the power that can be drawn from the outlets to a safe level,
but the total output from the auxiliary outputs must not exceed 200VA. (Actually,
the total output is limited to 350VA, but the scanner monitor, using 150VA, is
permanently plugged into one of the outlets. This leaves 200VA for accessories.)

Additional Protective Ground and Potential Equalization

An additional protective ground can be connected to the

terminal below the

auxiliary power outlets (see Fig B-12).

The potential equalization terminal

below the auxiliary power outlets (see Fig

B-12) is connected to the scanner chassis. It can be connected to corresponding
terminals on other equipment to eliminate potential differences. Do NOT use it for
additional protective grounding.

Dismantling the Scanner for Transportation

Caution: The front panel and the monitor can be removed to allow easy transportation
(see Fig B-13).

Unplug and disconnect the front panel from the scanner.

Remove the sliding cover.

4

Undo the black screws under each side of the front panel.

Press the black release handles and lift the front panel out of the groove.
