Documentation 101

The Document Browser Toolbar

The toolbar below the image bar contains the tools you can use in the document
browser.

Table 6-2. Document browser tools.

Saving Documents

2D Images and Video Clips

To save a 2D image or video clip to the patient archiving system, Click Capture
Image or Capture Clip in the Document Browser toolbar.

You can also set up user-defined keys to capture images and clips, or you can set up
a key so that it captures images if the image is frozen and captures clips if the image
is not frozen. See “User-Defined Keys” on page 169.

Image format

Images are saved in .bmp format. Video clips are saved in .avi format.

Clip storage

You can customize the way video clips are captured and stored. For example, you
can set their length and frame rate. See “Clip Storage and Cine Setup” on page 173.

3D Data Sets

3D data sets are automatically saved to the patient archiving system.

Tool

Function

View

Displays the currently selected document (2D scanned image, 2D
video clip of scans, 3D data set, Pro Package report).

Delete

Deletes the currently selected document (See page 106).

Copy CD/
Copy Flash

Copies the selected documents to an external storage device. Note:
All copy (save) keys on the control panel and any on-screen copy
controls are disabled when the document browser is open (See
page 108).

Archive CD
Archive DICOM

Places information to be archived in the staging area (Archive CD)
or sends it to a PACS (Archive DICOM) (See page 109)

DICOM Print

Sends selected documents to a queue to be sent to a DICOM printer
(See page 111).

Capture Image

Saves the current scanned image (frozen or not) to the patient
archiving system.

Capture Clip

Saves the clip (image sequence) from now and backward in time to
the patient archiving system. You can capture a clip when the image
is frozen or not frozen.

Click top icon to select all thumbnails in the document browser.
Click bottom icon to deselect all thumbnails in the document
browser.
