Color Mode – Color Flow Mapping 141
Color Mode Frequency
If an MFI (Multi-Frequency Imaging) transducer is selected, you can select the
Doppler scanning frequency as well as the B-mode scanning frequency. The view
must be scanning when you do this.
To select the Color mode frequency:
• Press

Frequency

to step through the frequency options.

Click MFI under Color on the left side of the screen and select the value you
want (or point at MFI and press
[
+/-
]
).
The current value is displayed on the screen next to MFI.
NOTE:
The current scanning frequency displayed at the top of the screen is
always the B-mode frequency.
Persistence
You can adjust the persistence level of the Color mode image. The view must be
scanning when you do this.
To adjust Color mode persistence:
•
Click Persist under Color on the left side of the screen and select the level you
want (or point at Persist and press
[
+/-
]
).
The available values range from 1 (no averaging) to 8 (maximum averaging).
The current setting is displayed on the screen next to Persist.
Auto
Increasing the resolution of an ultrasound image results in a reduction in frame rate.
The system can automatically adjust several parameters to give the best combination
of resolution and frame rate.
In Auto, you can choose the priority given to resolution over frame rate (Res/Hz)
from one of four options.
To turn Auto on and off:

NOTE: When Auto is turned on, Multibeam, Line Density and Shots Per Est.
will be automatically set and will not be displayed on screen.
To adjust the resolution:

Click Res/Hz under General and select the resolution you want.
The current setting is displayed on the screen next to Res/Hz.
