Making a call

The phone number entry screen appears.

If the call history/favorites screen appears, tap
[Dialpad].

Enter a phone number
When calling to a fixed-line phone, enter the phone
number starting with the area code even if you are in
the same area.

during a call to adjust volume of the other
party's voice.

If "Restrict call/mail" (

P. 31) is "ON", calls can only be
made to contacts registered in Contacts that have been
allowed by a parent or guardian.
If a call is initiated to a not-as-yet approved "pending"
contact, a message is displayed indicating the call is
prohibited.

If "Call time per day" or "Call time per month" (
▶
P. 33) is set,
it may not be possible to make or receive calls depending
on the amount of accumulated call time.
◎
If you cover the screen by your face etc. while dialing/
calling, the display turns off for preventing false operation.
◎
Note that even if you cover the microphone, the sound can
be conveyed to the other party.
◎
Calls can be made to emergency reporting numbers (110,
119, 118) even when "Airplane mode" is set.
