How to Work

Replacing the Engine Oil Filter
1. Drain engine oil.(Refer to p. 55 of this manual.)
2. Put a plastic container underneath the location
where the oil fi lter is connected.
3. Turn the oil fi lter counterclockwise to remove it.
4. Apply clean engine oil on the sealing part
(rubber gasket) of the new oil fi lter thinly.
5. Turn the new oil fi lter clockwise until the
sealing part (rubber gasket) contacts the
mounting surface (B), and then tighten further
by three-quarters of a turn by hand.
6. Remove the oil fi ller cap and re fi ll the speci fi ed
oil slowly until the “FULL” position on the oil
level gauge, and then securely tighten the oil
fi ller cap. (Refer to p. 54 of this manual.)
7. Run the engine for approx. 3 minutes at low
speed, and then make sure that the oil does not
come off from mounting surface.
8. Stop the engine and wait for a while (approx. 10
minutes). Check the oil level again and re fi ll oil.

Change the oil fi lter every 100 hours or every year.

Install the oil fi lter by hand without using tools.

This container is placed above the electrical parts, so use a
container made of non-conductive material and pay attention
not to cause short-circuiting.

Use any fi lter wrench to remove the oil fi lter.
