Water Sprinkler System

The 6700B is equipped with a water sprinkler system
(Figure 31) to help suppress dust, which helps to pre-
vent fire as dry materials pass through the grinding pro-
cess. This system is separate from the self-contained
water sprayer system (see “Water Pump Sprayer” on
page 29).

The water sprinkler nozzles wet the material in front of
the compression roll, in the grinder, and at the discharge
conveyor. The nozzles do not wet material enough to
completely prevent it from burning.

Any external source can provide the water through a
standard hose connection.

Water Pump Sprayer

The self-contained, gasoline-powered, high-pressure
water pump sprayer system can help prevent fires and
keep the machine clean of dust and debris, which con-
tribute to machine fires. The frame-mounted tank sup-
plies the water through a hose and nozzle attached to the
water pump. This system is separate from the water
sprinkler system. Table 3 shows the specifications for
the water sprayer system.
